
We turn 18 and graduate from high school. For many that is the end of school and the start of a working life. For others it means earning enough to afford college. I am one of the poor college student wannabes.
Several of the girls have found a neat solution. They get some sort of waitress jobs at a sort of holy roller resort out in the country. The pay is good and the resort is so isolated that there is really nowhere to spend the pay. It sounds boring as hell but for the right money it might be the deal I need for college money.
As they are getting interviewed for the job one of the girls comes running for me. It seems that the resort also needs a handyman with a good electrical background. I have worked for the high school in exactly that role. I interview and I get the job.
A few weeks later the girls and I arrive at what I will call Howling Wilderness Resort. HWR is actually not all that bad. The place has simple but comfortable buildings and amenities. There is enough staff and the management doesn t seem any crazier than most. Well they do insist on examining our luggage as we have been warned in advance. The search is supposedly for booze but nothing else fun is allowed past the search either.
